ABSTRACT

In teams, students made presentations to the various groups explaining why they wanted to attend the EY program and how they might benefit from such an experience. Because of the school district's high Native American population, students also made a presentation to the Intertribal Council. [...]when COVID vaccinations became available and travel bans were lifted, the Bluejacket school board invited me to serve as their group's Yellowstone education field guide. Because I frequent Yellowstone, teach a Yellowstone Science for Educators college course, and even conducted my sabbatical in Yellowstone with the EY program, I felt qualified to lead the group. While I could not mirror the EY education program, I could provide Team Bluejacket with their own personal Yellowstone place-based learning experience. Because we were not participating in the EY program, we did not stay in the designated EY Buffalo Ranch cabins. Day 1 As the itinerary reveals, we visited multiple places each day (see Yellowstone Place-Based Travel Itinerary in Supplemental Materials);however, this article highlights only some of the science learning adventures. Because team Bluejacket entered Yellowstone from the south entrance, our first stop was to the Upper Geyser Basin, which contains the largest concentration of hot springs in the world, and we arrived just in time to see the eruption of Old Faithful Geyser.

ABSTRACT

In recent years, the development of e-commerce new retail formats is in full swing, and the terminal distribution has become a hot research topic under the background of new retail. The accuracy of the community navigation map is related to the low cost and high efficiency of terminal distribution and then affects the development of new e-commerce retail. However, in large communities, the existing navigation map software can only locate the main entrance of the community, and there is a lack of effective positioning for the location of buildings. Therefore, based on the existing navigation map, this paper expects to correct its application defects and carry out optimization design from the design principle, design idea, product function, product customization, and product application effect, so as to make the community navigation more accurate, faster, and more efficient, to help the low cost and efficient development of door-to-door distribution under the new retail of e-commerce.

ABSTRACT

From the perspective of COVID-19's prevention and control, to test effectiveness of existing control measures for shopping center buildings, taking Weilaishi Shopping Center of Handan City as an example, Anylogic software is used for analogue simulation of the whole shopping process. According to existing control means of Weilaishi Shopping Center, the model sets three different simulation conditions: "no control state", "restricting entrance and exit opening" and "increasing epidemic prevention distance". The epidemic prevention effects of different control methods are intuitively displayed through the simulated output thermal diagram and the statistical diagram of the number of infected people. The results show that restricting the opening of entrances and exits can reduce the number of infected people by 36%, and increasing the epidemic prevention distance can reduce the number of infected people by 89.8%. Both control methods can play a certain epidemic prevention effect. ABSTRACT

Objectives: Nowadays, tourism continues to represent the most dynamic and open part of the countries’ economic system. This research paper explores tourism in Albania over the years, with particular focus on the development of tourism during the pandemic situation, mainly the number of entrances and exits of visitors to the country compared to the years before. Methods/Analysis: This study will take into consideration the secondary data provided by the World Travel and Tourism Council and INSTAT Albania focused on 2020 as the pandemic year, compared to the previous years by investigating the movements of visitors in Albania, their origins, and the ways of travel through seaports, air, or land. The travel purposes of Albanian visitors are different, but this research will focus only on those purposes for holidays during the summer season. The data will be presented through the percentage of a frequency distribution at each entrance and exit point, in some cases explained by tables and graphs, comparing the months in the peak summertime. Findings: Statistical analyses represented in this research give a clear picture of developing tourism in Albania during the pandemic year, mostly tourists from Kosovo. Improvement: This research paper summarized some specific recommendations for government institutions and SMEs specializing in the tourism sector to be ready for the future challenge, even deep dives in the pandemic zone. © 2022 by the authors. ABSTRACT

The transportation and surface deposition of aerosols from sneezing in a small indoor farmers’ market are studied numerically. The effects of numbers and locations of the entrances and exits of the market are discussed under the condition of natural convection. The results indicate that aerosols leave the indoor environment more quickly when two doors are designed face to face on the walls perpendicular to the natural wind direction compared to other natural ventilation strategies. The concentrations of aerosols accumulated on the surfaces of the stalls and human bodies inside the market are also lower. In this case, the risk of contacting the virus is relatively low among susceptible individuals in the indoor farmers’ markets. Moreover, opening more doors on the walls parallel to the natural wind direction is not beneficial for the fast exhaust of aerosols.

ABSTRACT

This article presents raw inferential statistical data that determined the coronavirus readiness strategies at retail stores in South Africa and their consequences for consumer behavioural intentions. The data was collected from customers within the metropolitan area of Bloemfontein. The data were analysed using a quantitative approach. Structured questionnaires were provided to customers throughout South Africa's Bloemfontein metropolitan area. Reliability and validity were confirmed. The data was presented using Structural Equation modelling (SEM) using the Smart PLS program. The analysis of the SEM path shows estimates of the interconnectivity of the major constructs in the data. The findings from this dataset show that sanitised retail entrances, sanitised retail counters and sanitised retail shelves had a statistically significant effect on customer satisfaction with covid-19 readiness in retail stores. Furthermore, the data reveals that retail social distancing and senior citizens shopping hours had a statistically insignificant effect on customer satisfaction with covid-19 readiness. Moreover, the data reveals that customer satisfaction with covid-19 readiness strategies of retail stores also had a positive and statistically significant effect on customer behavioural intentions.
